Siberia is a four-piece cover band consisting of:
Laurie Duffy - Vocals/Guitar
Chris Potter - Drums
Peter Valentine - Keyboards
and alternating Bass Players
All members are accomplished musicians/performers having gigged around Melbourne (and beyond) for decades. There is a good chance you'll recognise at least one of them from a show somewhere - it happens all the time!
In recent years Laurie and Chris were members of The Party Animals while Peter has been performing regularly with Wendy Stapleton and Fleetwood Max among others.
Their name holds no great significance, but you need one and it came at the end of a long list of rejections. They may even be named after a particular jukebox, but who knows?
Siberia plays classic rock and new wave covers and is continually adding to its repertoire. The current list includes hits from acts such as INXS, David Bowie, The Cars, Cheap Trick, The Angels, Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder, Fischer-Z, The Vapors, The Sunnyboys, Lenny Kravitz, Loverboy, J Giles band, Duran Duran, Gary Numan, The Hoodoo Gurus, Mondo Rock, Dragon, Small Faces, Martha & The Muffins, Bryan Adams etc.
